Swimming pool liners leak for a variety of reasons. The most common reasons for leaks in a pool liner are holes, punctures, or tears in the liner. It is not an uncommon occurrence to put a hole, or puncture in a swimming pool liner while using your pool and while maintaining it. Even after spending quite a bit of money on a new pool liner, you can puncture the vinyl material through everyday use. When a puncture occurs, it can be quite an emotional experience for a homeowner, knowing that the pool is now not functional and in need of a repair.
The thing to remember is that you have a better chance of success at swimming pool repairs the sooner you catch the fact that your pool liner is leaking. It is also a little easier to handle the situation with less emotion, and more solution based problem solving, when you subscribe to the fact that above ground pool liners and in ground pool liners do have leaks, and repairing them are part of the everyday maintenance of your swimming pool.
