Whether or not the pool liner is repairable is dependent on: 1.) How extensive the damage is. 2.) What part (or location) of the liner has the problem. And 3.) How old the liner is.
The chances of success of swimming pool repairs, especially on a pool liner are greater if the damage is located away from any corners of the liner and any cut outs, including
skimmers and
return jets.
If the damage is in a corner (wall or floor) then the chance of a successful swimming pool repair is greatly reduced. Moreover if the damage is close to, or adjoins any of the “white goods” (skimmers, returns, or any plastic fittings), then the chances of success are also greatly reduced. Lastly, if damage is close to the bead (
beaded liners), the chances of success are slim.
On the other hand, if you find damage to any other part of the liner on the floor or wall, your chances of succeeding with the swimming pool repair are fairly good.
