Coping, sometimes called coping strips, are plastic protection pieces that go on top of an Overlap pool liner as soon as it is wrapped over the wall of the above ground pool. Coping acts as a protection piece between the liner and the rigid (metal or plastic) piece that goes on top of it. Usually the coping is approximately 2 feet long and comes in packages to accommodate the size of your swimming pool. It is highly recommended to replace the coping every time you change your Overlap pool liner. This style is a flat type.

Coping

There is another type on the market known as rounded coping, but it is not recommended to use because it does not protect the liner as intended and it is way too expensive. If your swimming pool has round coping, you should replace it with this flat style coping.
